The Association involved in the battle against iodine deficiency was established as nonpolitical, nongovernmental and non profit association of citizens which goal is scientific and practical research of iodine deficiency problem in human organism as well as ways of solving these problems, education of wider population in order to prevent pathogenesis of iodine deficiency.

Goals and assignments:
1. Gathering and processing scientific and professional literature in endocrinology and diabetes
2. Organizing seminars, professional assembles, consulting and other forms of professional education in this area independently or together with other organizations
3. Publishing books and articles about iodine significance, causes of iodine deficiency, consequences of iodine deficiency on human health
4. Organization of scientific and professional employees to work on scientific and professional projects from endocrinology and diabetes domain
5. Other activities connected with popularization of iodine significance and ways how to provide optimal amount of iodine in human food
